Cornell College of Business–ASQ Paper Development Workshop

The Cornell SC Johnson College of Business and the Administrative Science Quarterly (ASQ) will hold a paper development workshop on May 12–13 in New York City. The program will kick off with an informal reception on the evening of May 12th and our official program will begin at 8:30 on Friday, May 13th. The workshop is designed to provide mentorship to untenured faculty with mature research projects in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion; social justice and social impact. All applicants should submit a working paper up to 20 pages (abstract, tables, figures, and references excluded from the page limit). Please include three keywords on the abstract page. Selection priority will be given to underrepresented minorities and scholars who identify as female.
The workshop will be led by members of the ASQ editorial team and by other scholars who have published in these research areas. As a part of the workshop, participants will work in small groups and receive and offer each other feedback on their papers with guidance from a mentor.
There is no fee for attending the workshop although participants will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation. A limited number of stipends are available to offset travel expenses.
To apply for this workshop, please submit to (cob-asq-submit@cornell.edu) up to 20 pages of text representing your working paper (plus tables, figures, and references); include your name, contact information, and affiliation. Please indicate in your e-mail if you are applying for a travel/accommodation stipend. Early applications are appreciated, and no applications will be accepted after March 31, 2022 (23:59:59, Eastern Standard Time).
Applicants will be informed by April 15 whether they have been selected to participate.
