    Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to join us for a symposium on diversity and inclusion in international business contexts at this year's AoM meeting!

    Panellists:
    Mustafa Ozbilgin, Brunel U.
    Eddy Ng, Bucknell U.
Betina Szkudlarek, U. of Sydney Business School
Mukta Kulkarni, Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

    Chairs:
    Stacey Fitzsimmons, U. of Victoria
    Lee Martin, Deakin U.

The fair and equal treatment of individuals across demographic groups represents both challenges and opportunities within domestic settings. Within international settings, where there is additional complexity and variety, the challenges and opportunities are heightened. This panel symposium will identify what makes diversity and inclusion (D&I) unique within international business (IB) contexts. A series of experts in D&I within IB will share their thoughts, followed by roundtable discussions to further advance the field and to spark potential new research collaborations among D&I and IB scholars.

Conversation will revolve around the following three guiding questions:

    1. What is the biggest limitation to IB's past treatment of issues related to D&I?
    2. What is the trend you are most excited about? Why is this new research conversation important?
    3. Based on what you've heard from the other panelists, what research would you most like to see in the future? How would this draw on different theoretical perspectives than those emphasized in the past?

We look forward to welcoming you to the symposium in Boston!

    Stacey & Lee
