Dear GDO colleagues
It was good to meet so many of you in Boston at GDO events, PDWs, symposia and paper sessions. I am still reflecting on many of the ideas shared by our GDO colleagues and enjoying how they have prompted me to reframe my own thinking.
As you may know, the Academy bylaws specify that the divisions and interest groups must be periodically reviewed.
As I flagged at our 2019 Celebration of Success in Boston, the GDO division is scheduled for review this year. To lead this review, we have a team made up of Donna Maria Blancero (Immediate past Chair), myself as Current Chair, Eden King (Chair Elect) and Sabrina Volpone (previous Rep at large), with input from the wider GDO Executive team.
The review process involves surveying our members about their experiences and capturing their ideas about where we can do better, reviewing the AoM data about GDO performance over the past 5 years and strategically planning for the coming 5 years. The review is to be completed by 6 Feb 2020.
We would welcome additional input, so if you are interested in being involved in the review team, please let me know.
The survey will be run by the AoM in October, so please look out for it.
