Gender, Work & Organization is looking for a Co-Editor-in-Chief. The successful candidate will join
the existing editorial team alongside Banu Ozkazanc-Pan.
With almost 30 years of publishing history, Gender, Work and Organization was the first journal with
a specific focus on gender in work and organization studies. It publishes critical and feminist work
which is theoretically innovative and novel with a key aim being to publish papers that advance
theoretical and empirical knowledge in gender, work and organization. It is a leading gender-centric
journal in management and organization studies, as well as sociology, women's studies and gender
studies.
Specific qualities sought from international candidates include the following:
● Leadership of and significant scholarly contributions to critical approaches to gender, work
and organization studies.
● Experience as an editor and reviewer for journals.
● Ability to work collaboratively with Co-Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Team and the Publisher.
● Ability to work constructively with authors and reviewers.
● Capacity to take on the workload and engage in feminist community building as part of the
praxis associated with the position.
● Handle manuscripts across a wide range of subject areas which are often multidisciplinary in
nature and critical in approach.
● Expertise in qualitative or quantitative research, although methodological expertise is not
necessarily essential.
● Demonstrable administrative skills, with the capacity to handle a demanding workload and
to meet deadlines.
