The Kauffman Research team is working with scholars at NORC at the University of Chicago (an independent, non-profit survey research organization) to survey researchers of entrepreneurship and innovation about the professional climate within their field. The survey focuses, primarily, on questions of intellectual inclusion within university departments, conferences and networking arenas, and the publishing and funding domains.

Kauffman invites scholars who study entrepreneurship-at all stages of their academic career, and across fields and disciplines to share their perspectives with us. The survey is both confidential and voluntary. Please also know that the Kauffman Foundation will not have access to personally-identifiable, confidential data collected during this study and will not be able to associate responses with any individual. Take the survey here.

Please visit the project web page for additional information on the survey's development and Kauffman's goals for this work. You may also contact NORC at the University of Chicago by email at KauffmanClimateSurvey@norc.org or by telephone at 877-319-4105.

August virtual events by the Kauffman Foundation:

    August Entrepreneurship Issue Forum
Join us Thursday, August 26 at 10 a.m. CT for the Entrepreneurship Issue Forum, "Accelerators: What do we know about their role in supporting entrepreneurship?"

Research on accelerators has proliferated in recent years, and we are learning more about the impact of accelerators on entrepreneurs and their businesses, as well as on regional economies. In this forum, we will hear from scholars at the forefront of exploring the role of accelerators in entrepreneurial support-examining important issues such as the aspects of accelerator programs that are most valuable for entrepreneurs, who is benefitting from accelerator participation, and what the long-term outcomes of participation are. We will also hear from a panel of individuals running accelerator programs and entrepreneurs who have participated in accelerators about how the experience has shaped their entrepreneurial journeys.
