Greetings AOM DEI Division members,
I hope we all have safe travels to Copenhagen! As we are looking forward to what will be a truly extraordinary conference, I would like to encourage us all to remember three words: grace, patience, and flexibility. Let us extend grace to everyone. In these times of uncertainty, it is rare for us to really know what another person is going through or has had to overcome. So, let us be graceful in our interactions. Let us also practice patience. Although we all hope for perfect presentations, poster sessions, symposia, and PDWs, mistakes and mishaps will happen. When these occur, let's be patient and encourage one another. Lastly, let us embody flexibility. Inevitably, last-minute and unexpected situations will arise, so being flexible is very important and will help us have a great conference!
PS: Please be respectful of session moderators and be mindful on the time allocated for paper presentations. Often times, they have an unenviable task in keeping the sessions on track, so let's help out our session moderators.
