    Dear Richard,

I appreciate the amount of work that goes into creating these AMR Origin Series conversations but I'm also disappointed to see that a scholar who has called women's writing about their experiences in academia "trivial, whiny, jargon-ridden, and crammed with hyperbole" featured so prominently here. Since when is insulting female colleagues and their work acceptable in academia?

    Richard,

I have to agree with Banu. AOM's policy states, "We provide an inclusive, dynamic, and supportive community for all of our members,
embracing the full diversity of our backgrounds and experiences."  It is really hard for members to believe that this is taken seriously, when it not only publishes, but elevates, the work of people who openly express sexism and racism.
