The gender gap in business education was noticed by the White House and its Council of Economic Advisors, which convened a meeting of deans, policymakers and leading researchers in 2015. The idea was to develop best practices for business schools to lead in expanding opportunities for women in business and adapt to the 21st-centry workforce. In order to make progress in the corporate world, it is important for business schools to lead by example. Although there has been some modest improvement in the retention and upward mobility of women, significant gaps remain. 2015 AACSB data show only 20% of full professors in business schools are women. #worklife
