We are currently accepting submissions to our 8th annual AOM PDW on Movements and Markets (formerly known as the Social Movements, Stakeholders, and Nonmarket Strategy PDW) on Saturday, August 10th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Fairmont Hotel (Gold Room).
This year's theme continues with our emphasis on impact as we focus on the reciprocal influences between movements, markets, and scholars. Our goal is to recognize the influence of scholarly work on social movements and broader society and to foster a more inclusive and responsible engagement with the communities we study.
Similar to prior years, we'll begin with an expert panel and discussion followed by a networking session that all are welcome to attend, no submission or registration is required. The final portion of the program is our research roundtables. These are a great opportunity to get the feedback you need: anything from vetting an idea for a new research project to hammering out details on a finished manuscript. The roundtables are open to all levels of scholarship – in the past, we've had participants just starting their PhDs, full professors, and everyone in between.
To apply for the research roundtables, please submit an up to 3 page (about 1,000 words) summary of a new research idea or current research project to be explored with the discussants and other participants by July 12th.
