My research team and other colleagues are seeking presenters for a planned PDW at the 2023 Academy of Management Meeting in Boston. The aim of this PDW is to discuss key topics related to the scientific study of neuroatypical workers and positive organizational practices that promote their well-being. Thus, we are striving to hold an interactive dialogue for both researchers and practitioners.
The working title of the PDW is "Atypical Approaches to Workplace Equity: Strategies for Supporting Neuroatypical Workers."
The organizers have identified several key topics for discussion, including but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Inclusive leadership behaviors for supporting neuroatypical employees
- HR practices that promote well-being and inclusion of neuroatypical employees
- Positive and negative outcomes of disclosure
- Gaps in the current study of neuroatypical employees
- Moving past a medical model of disability
If you are interested in taking part, contact me at helenchung@spu.edu. In your email, please share a little about your experience in the area of neurodiversity along with your specific interest in this PDW. Specifically, what themes listed above or what additional topics could you speak to? Thank you.
Warmly,
