Please join our PDW on Saturday August 5 from 9:30 - 11:30 AM, titled Challenges and Opportunities of Teaching DEI in 2023. The location is Sheraton, Clarendon AB. Open to all, no registration required.
The aim of this workshop is to share best practices for inclusion in the classroom and manage the tensions in the DEI space in higher education. We will have short panel presentations and then roundtables to allow participants to share their questions and best practices in smaller collaborative discussions. We intend that participants will gain ideas about the what and why of college teaching, ways to increase equity in the college student experience, and ideas for enhancing effectiveness in teaching DEI.
