Job Description:
Business Administration (Management) - Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Business Administration beginning in August of the 2020-2021 academic year. Teaching responsibilities include courses related to Social Issues and Diversity, Introductory Management courses, and Business Communication with the opportunity to teach other courses within successful candidate's area(s) of expertise. Additional responsibilities include advising majors, maintaining an active and productive scholarly agenda, and engaging in departmental and campus service activities.
As part of a liberal arts college, we are specifically interested in candidates who can both appreciate and integrate the role of business and management in the context of the larger society and its concerns. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate a commitment to student learning, teaching excellence, and engagement with the broader community. A strong candidate will demonstrate a commitment to creative and engaging undergraduate teaching. We encourage applicants with demonstrated success in working with diverse populations.
