The Institute for Gender and the Economy (GATE) has been working hard to develop resources that might help you in the classroom, and can support your curriculum development as you plan for this year's course offerings.

Specifically, on the GATE website you can find:

Case studies – We have developed 2 cases and more are on the way. The Root Capital case is great if you are interested in economic development, social responsibility, social enterprises or gender analysis. The one on women in capital markets contains an outstanding summary of how capital markets work and the industry structure as well as detailed information on career paths and career advancement.

Research Briefs – 2-page summaries of academic research studies with research findings and implications for a managerial audience. Research briefs can help inform students of the most cutting-edge research on management challenges involving gender and diversity, in an accessible format.

Infographics – Visual representations of a variety of topics, such as whether diversity training works, pay equity, sexual harassment, carework, how to be an ally, being out at work, gender budgeting, and the pros and cons of quotas. (Each of these is also accompanied by a research overview)

Multimedia – If you are interested in adding some multimedia resources to your syllabus or class plan, we have a selection of videos, podcasts, and webinars on topics like sponsorship, the gender wage gap, covering, behavioural approaches to diversity, emotional intelligence, etc.  We also post video clips from our events.
