    Dear Colleagues:

    **Apologies for cross-posting**

Just a gentle reminder that the deadline for submitting a paper to this year's Southern Management Association Annual Meeting is quickly approaching: Friday April 5th, 2019 11:59 pm EST. I hope you will consider submitting a paper, symposium, and/or a Professional Development Institute (PDI) proposal for consideration. There are several possible submission tracks, including an "Ethics, Diversity and Careers" track that may be of particular interest to many on this listserv. Meeting details and instructions are copied below:

This year's meeting will take place in Norfolk, Virginia - billed as "the heart of the Virginia Waterfront: a vibrant port city," Norfolk boasts the northern end of the Intracoastal Waterway and sits approximately 25 minutes (19 miles) from the Virginia Beach oceanfront. The meeting will be held October 8 -12th, at the Hilton Norfolk The Main, an art and culinary destination in itself. Further, our hotel sits within a short walk of The USS Wisconsin, brew pubs, waterfront restaurants and unique cultural and historic local venues. Explore why Norfolk was named America's favorite city in 2018 and Top 50 places to travel in 2017 here:  (https://www.visitnorfolk.com/). The exchange of scholarly and practical knowledge, innovative professional development opportunities, and fun fellowship and networking promise to make SMA 2019 one of the best to date!

    How Can You Be Involved?

We need you to submit your manuscripts, symposia, and PDI. We also need you to volunteer to review. The quality of our program is directly dependent on your active engagement! The 2019 SMA Call for Papers, Submission site and Reviewer sign up forms can be found here:

    https://www.southernmanagement.org/meetings

If you submitted or reviewed last year, you already have a profile created in the system, and last year's username and ID can be used to log into the 2019 conference portal. If any of your information has changed, please update it at this time-even if you are not submitting. If you did not create a profile last year, you will need to do so now. PDF documents, available at the following links, will guide you through account creation (http://bit.ly/2mfo2d6), reviewer signup (http://bit.ly/2mygYcD), and paper/proposal submission processes (http://bit.ly/2ljD0Qa). Please note that the screenshots in the guides show a 2017 date and some other minor differences, but the process illustrated works for this year as well.

    Best,

    Brad Harris, Ph.D.
Ethics, Diversity and Careers Track Chair for SMA '19
