    Position: Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management 
    Effective Date: August 19, 2024 (Fall Semester) 
    Salary Range: $64,860 - $143,928/per year (Commensurate with qualifications and experience)

    The Department of Management and Human Resource Management at California State University, Long Beach is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Supply Chain Management position. We will be attending the CSCMP Educator's Conference September 30 thru October 1, 2023.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or closely related areas from an AACSB International accredited institution. Degree at time of application or official notification of completion of the doctoral degree by August 1, 2024.
    • Demonstrated potential or evidence to teach Supply Chain Management and related subjects effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels
    • Demonstrated potential or evidence for peer-reviewed scholarly publication(s) in recognized business journal(s)
    • Demonstrated potential to contribute to service roles to the department, college, university, and community.
    • Demonstrated commitment to working successfully with a diverse student population

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in teaching Procurement and/or an interdisciplinary course on Management and Supply Chain Management topics
    • Published research, preferably in top-tier Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management journals
    • Business or managerial experience in supply chain management, with a preference for candidates with prior procurement experience
    • Demonstrate a willingness to develop relationships across the university and surrounding community, through previous volunteer work or service
    • Experience of successfully working with populations demographically and socioeconomically similar to the CSULB student (Demographics)

    Duties:

    • Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels including courses in Procurement and Principles of Management and Operations and related subjects. [Mode of instruction may include in-person, hybrid, online, and/or any combination thereof.]
    • Participate in curriculum and program development
    • Engage in research, scholarly and creative activities in the field leading to presentations and publications
    • Participate in service to the department, college, university, and community

    The Department of Management and Human Resource Management is an interdisciplinary department comprised of tenured/tenure-track faculty, full-time lecturers, and adjunct instructors who work together to serve CSULB students by developing high-quality courses in management, human resource management, and supply chain management.
