Welcoming Qualitative Research at OBHDP

Over the past few months, we have taken several steps to make OBHDP a welcoming home for qualitative research. For example, we recently added a new associate editor-Heather Vough-to our team. Heather has published extensively using qualitative methods and is a leader in advancing qualitative methodology. She previously served as an associate editor for qual research at Academy of Management Journal. Heather's expertise complements our existing team of associate editors with substantial qualitative expertise, including Tiffany Johnson, Anthony Klotz, and Eric Anicich. In sum, our associate editors have the experience and expertise to handle qualitative submissions on a wide range of topics.

We have also recently expanded our editorial board to include a group of highly experienced qualitative scholars. This new group of ERB members will be supplemented with a strong pool of ad hoc reviewers with expertise in qualitative research. Authors can submit to OBHDP with confidence that their manuscripts will be evaluated by reviewers who have a track record of publishing and reviewing qualitative work in the field's top outlets.

We welcome qualitative research on a wide range of topics across multiple disciplines, including organizational behavior, social psychology, organizational psychology, judgment and decision-making, human resource management, and marketing. We are particularly interested in articles that illuminate the psychological processes pertaining to individuals, dyads, groups, and other social collectives. We place a premium on submissions that make a substantial contribution to understanding psychological processes relevant to human attitudes, cognitions, and behavior in organizational contexts. The journal is also open to submissions that address more "macro" topics, provided they explore the psychological processes underlying the phenomenon.

We are excited to receive your qualitative submissions!
