The Department of Management within the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University is now accepting applicants for the 2022-2023 academic year. The Department of Management has two broad areas of emphasis for Ph.D. students: OB/HR and Strategy. As a Research 1 Institution, our faculty continually publish in the leading business journals including Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and more. Using a shared mentorship model, our goal is to rigorously prepare Ph.D. students for a career in academia.
If you have students who are currently applying to Ph.D. programs, we ask that you share this information with them, so that they might consider WVU as their future institution. Applications are due January 15, 2022 and all materials must be received by this date to be considered for admission.
The following documents are required as part of the application process:
GMAT or GRE
Resume/CV
Statement of Purpose
