    Resilience Education is proud to sponsor the symposium "Breaking Barriers: Navigating Stigma, Identity, and Opportunity for Justice-Involved Workers" at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 5:15 to 6:45 PM in MR7 at the Bella Center located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Lead by Kristie Rodgers as discussant, Nicole Jones Young, Bahar Javadi, Erin Frey, Yixi Chen, and myself will explore how stigma and identity affect reentry, as well as offer insights into fair-chance hiring, organizational equity, and the practical frameworks that can foster collaboration among management educators, employers, and communities.

    This session is hosted by the Fair Chance Business Education Consortium. Led by Resilience Education, Ascendium Education Group, Columbia Business School, UVA Darden, Wharton, Georgetown McDonough, and JP Morgan Chase & Co., the Consortium brings together 50+ members and 20+ institutions focused on equitable hiring and sustainable career pathways for returning citizens.
