    Hi All,

I am planning to put together a symposium on diversity in organizational entry for the upcoming AOM conference.  If anyone has something that they feel would fit in this symposium, please send me an e-mail.  Thanks!

    Hi Robyn,

I left things somewhat vague, because I didn't want to exclude papers.  But I can tell you a little bit about the paper that I'm putting together with Elissa Perry and Lisa Finkelstein:

We surveyed HR profressionals and asked them about a job for which they recently recruited.  We were specifically interested in the extent to which they indicated that they targeted older workers for the position and whether this impacted (a) the recruitment sources they used (e.g., older job seekers are more apt to use networking and less apt to use internet recruiting) and the benefits stressed (e.g., older workers are apt to be more interested in pleasant coworkers, flexible work schedules and less interested in tuition reimbursement).  In short, we looked at whether employers that indicated that they were targeting older workers, did in fact, use sources and inducements that would be attractive to older workers.
