Faculty Position in Organizational Behavior (Academic Year 2008-2009)
The Simmons College School of Management, located in Boston, is seeking
applicants for a tenure track faculty position in Organizational
Behavior to begin in August 2008 (or January 2008 if available).
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and MBA required and
elective courses. The hire will be made at either the Assistant or
Associate level, depending on the candidate’s level of experience.
Candidates should have an earned doctoral degree, substantial teaching
experience and a strong commitment to teaching. Candidates are also
expected to have an active research agenda, a solid record of peer
reviewed publications and demonstrated currency in the field.
Candidates with published research on gender and diversity in
organizations, leadership and/or negotiations are preferred. Consulting
experience or “real world” problem-solving experience is desirable.
Expertise in teaching in executive education programs is also desirable.
Candidates for this position may also be considered for a joint
appointment as Faculty Director of the Center for Gender in
Organizations, the School’s research arm.
The Simmons School of Management is the center for women, leadership and

center, the Center for Gender in Organizations (CGO). CGO conducts
research on gender dynamics in institutions, their link to
organizational effectiveness, and the conditions institutions need to
create to ensure the career success of women of diverse backgrounds.
Through its educational programs, research, and convening, the School of
Management is recognized as a leading authority for women, leadership
and management nationally and internationally.
