    Hello, fellow GDO members!

I am pleased to let you know that our book Successful Professional Women of the Americas (eds. Punnett, Duffy, Fox, Gregory, Lituchy, Monserrat, Olivas-Luján, Santos) received the highest possible evaluation from the Brazilian Educational System in 2007 (it was awarded 24 points out of a possible 24 by the "Comitê de Administração, Contabilidade e Turismo").  The book, a product of twenty researchers based in nine countries in the <st1><st1><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Americas</st1:country-region></st1:place></st1></st1> and including more than 1100 surveys and 300 interviews, is available from Edward Elgar.

As a "born collectivist," let me apologize in advance for my lack of humility but we are really excited by this news!  Best regards,

    Miguel

    Dear Miguel and Co-Authors:

Hey, CONGRATULATIONS on receiving such a high honor for your book!  Please be sure to add this information to the next GDO newsletter, as well.  Oftentimes individuals will use information from the newsletter (which is archived) in search of materials for a class, so it is important that information about your book is included.

We are all pleased for one another when those among us receive such a high honor.  It increases the status of research and practice in the field of diversity, so your success has a positive effect for the field as a whole and for each of us individually.  So feel free to "self-promote" a bit--we in GDO probably don't do enough of that!  -- Gayle
