    Equal Opportunities International
    Call for Papers

    Dear HR Management list,

The journal, Equal Opportunities International (EOI), is re-launched in
January 2006 with a new editorial board, comprising a team of over 100
scholars from 21 countries. EOI is committed to becoming a home for
excellent research papers on equality, diversity, and inclusion in work,
organization and society and the journal of choice for scholars in the
    field.

Please find below a description of the journal and its goals. We hope that
you will consider submitting your work to Equal Opportunities
    International.

If you have any questions, please contact me, Mustafa zbilgin, the new
    editor of EOI, e-mailto:M.Ozbilgin@qmul.ac.uk.

Further information can also obtained from the journal homepage at:
    http://www.emeraldinsight.com/eoi.htm.

We look forward to receiving your papers.

    Best regards,

    Mustafa zbilgin

    About the journal
Equal Opportunities International is a triple-blind peer reviewed journal,
which publishes original, critical and scholarly papers that make
theoretical and methodological contributions to our understanding of equal
opportunities, discrimination, diversity and inclusion in society,
organisation or work from any cognate perspective within social sciences
    or humanities.

Paper submissions should make original, critical and scholarly
contributions to the theory, policy and/or methods in equality, diversity
or inclusion in society, work or organisations. Each paper should be
firmly located in literature and its objectives, methods, theoretical
underpinnings and key contributions to theory and method should be clearly
expressed. The articles must be original pieces of work that have not been
published elsewhere and that are not under consideration for publication.
The authors are required to write in plain English language and in a style
that is free from technical terms.

We appreciate that the framing of equity issues is directly influenced by
the local historical and socio-political contexts and encourage authors to
consider their particular location in their submission and contributions.
The papers should seek to appeal to both scholars in the field of equal
opportunities and practitioners. The EOI is committed to social inclusion
    and social justice.

EOI offers a platform for critical and rigorous exploration of equal
opportunities concerns. The journal seeks to serve as a proverbial bridge
across the spectrum of scholarly research which is allied with equal
opportunities, and to facilitate development of the academic field, by
establishing a dialogue across its methodological, theoretical, applied
and philosophical silos. This is only possible through individual and
collective efforts of the members of the editorial boards, reviewers,
authors and readers of the journal in supporting the scholarly rigour and
    status of the journal.

    Professional Insights
Professional Insights seeks proposals for submissions focusing on the
professional insights and output generated from the field of equality,
diversity, and inclusion. One aspect of Professional Insights includes
interviews with eminent scholars, activists, and leaders who have made
substantial contributions to the field. Because the journal is an
international journal, interviewees may not be well-known worldwide, but
their contributions should be recognized as substantial. Professional
Insights seeks to contribute to international knowledge and recognition of
    contributors from around the world.

Brief reports from conferences are another source of contributions to
Professional Insights. The conferences may be of any size and in any
locale, but should be focused on issues relevant to the journal.

Professional Insights may also include reports on community work,
collaboration with industry, teaching, and other areas contributing to
social inclusion and social justice. We are open to multiple perspectives
on professional insights relevant to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Those interested in submitting to Professional Insights should contact the
Professional Insights Editor, Myrtle Bell. mailto:mpbell@uta.edu.

    Book Reviews
Equal Opportunities International publishes reviews of individual books
and collections, as well as extended essays which review academic
contributions and writings of eminent scholars or examine a number of
books which focus on a specific aspect of equality, diversity, or
    inclusion.

Authors interested in writing extended book reviews are encouraged to
contact the Book Reviews Editor, Finola Kerrigan.

Authors and publishers whose books complement the focus of the journal are
encouraged to send review copies of their books to the Book Reviews
    Editor, details below.

    E-mail: Finola.Kerrigan@kcl.ac.uk.
Address: Department of Management, King's College London, 150 Stamford
Street, London, SE1 9NHT, England, UK.
