Dear GDO colleagues,
The GDO doctoral consortium will be held on Saturday, August 8 from 9:00 to 4:30, with a reception on Friday August 7 from 6:00 to 8:00. The schedule includes four panels with 14 panelists, with sessions on research collaboration, teaching, publishing, and job market strategies. The consortium has been a resource for doctoral students to gain knowledge about our division and the larger academy.
Please encourage doctoral students to attend this consortium, and help us spread the word. Students will need to register for this event by July 10, and they need to register to attend Academy first. Please contact us with any questions. We have a flyer we can send you if you have ways to post or distribute (the list will not take attachments, so email us for it).
Thanks,
Joy Beatty (
jebeatty@umd.umich.edu) and Susan Kirby (
