We have worked in 10 years developing a questionnaire that now has been tried out in 100 seminars / organisations in different countries. It is called "Diversity Icebreaker" and is a generic concept for understanding how people can work together across differences (gender, profession, culture etc) in a positive way. We have done a validation and norm study in Scandinavia the last 2 years and would like to publish an article based upon this process. These days we start the process of globalising the concept and gather empirical and process data from different parts of the world. Do you have good ideas on
In what journals would it be relevant to present a validation study?
In what journals would it be relevant to present "How to do it" articles?
"Diversity Icebreaker" is a 42 item questionnaire with 3 dimensions. It is a "light" and a more positive version of Myers Briggs Type Indicator, TMP and Belbin Team Roles. The concept does not require a certification structure, as long as facilitators have some general competence in running seminars with people. The candidates answer the questionnaire and scores results themselves in about 10-12 minutes. It is perfect for use in seminars. The 3 dimensions can be linked pedagogically to different objectives; Personality differences, team roles, preferred communication styles, categorization of self and others, prejudices, in-group and out-group processes, social position taking, different contributions in different stages of business processes and not least collective reflection of language used in groups and organisations (Argyris level I, II and III).
All ideas are welcomed.
