Hello all! After a great experience at Academy, I am writing to ask
about anyone who may want to participate in a symposium at the 2007
SIOP conference in NYC in April. Some colleagues of mine (John
Kammeyer-Mueller and Hui Liao) and I are planning a symposium
concerning newcomer socialization and gender and would love to invite
anyone who is planning on investigating this topic to participate. Our
specific research will investigate reactions of intact groups toward
newcomers based on the gender composition of the group and the gender
of the newcomer, including specific behaviors of the existing members
as well as the newcomers.
If you have research in this area (at any stage) that you are
interested in presenting in a symposium format, please let me know. The
deadline for submission is September 13th, and we would need a 750 word
max summary of your intended research by that time. Please email me
