    FACULTY POSITION IN HEALTH AND/OR RETIREMENT BENEFITS

    School of Labor and Industrial Relations

    Michigan State University

    The School of Labor and Industrial Relations at Michigan State
    University has been authorized to hire a faculty member at the Assistant
    Professor level.

    This tenure system position is funded to promote the University’s
    research capacity regarding Health and/or Retirement Benefits. The
    ability to conduct research and/or teach on International and/or
    Comparative topics is highly desirable but not required.

    With a cross-disciplinary approach, faculty in the School of Labor and
    Industrial Relations conduct research and teach on a diverse set of
    employment-related subjects including: collective bargaining, staffing,
    training, compensation, benefits, employment and labor law,
    high-performance work systems, comparative employment systems, and
    international human resource management. The School also offers outreach
    programs in the areas of Workers Compensation, Labor-Management
    Cooperation, Labor Relations, and Human Resource Management.

    This is a tenure system position with an academic year appointment to
    begin August 16, 2007. Therefore, applicants must possess (or expect to
    receive by August 16, 2007) a Ph. D. in labor/industrial relations,
    economics, public policy, human resource management, or a related social
    science discipline.
