Forwarded on behalf of Rosanne Hawarden:
Dear GDO Members with an interest in corporate boards, director
appointments and specifically Women on Boards of Directors
We would like to bring to your attention the active group of scholars
working in the area of Women on Boards of Directors. We are starting
to think about the 2007 Academy of Management conference in
Philadelphia and what we would like to see happen around Women on
Boards of Directors.
Two very successful symposia were held this year in Atlanta. It was
felt that there was insufficient opportunity for in depth discussions
as well as socialising amongst the WOB community of scholars. We
are now calling for expressions of interest and proposals for
Philadelphia. Do we organise a PDW or do we arrange another
symposium or both? Our inclination is to follow the informal PDW
option. We do have a deadline for PDW submissions by 13th November
(see email below) and it would be much appreciated if you could send
me a short response indicating an interest in attending or
participating as soon as possible to
rosanne@computer-nz.com
.
The website,
www.betterboards.biz,
a research front for Women On
Boards of Directors Research, as been updated. If you come across
reports of books, interesting journal articles, studies, newspaper or
magazine articles, these will be gratefully received to add to this
Women on Boards research website.
