      We will be interviewing for the following position at the Academy.
     

    The Department of Management of the University of Cincinnati's College of Business anticipates multiple openings for tenure-track faculty, open rank, in September 2008, subject to availability of funds. The selected candidates will teach and conduct research in the area of Organizational Behavior. Applicants must have completed their doctorate prior to commencing these positions. The ideal candidate will exhibit high intellectual energy, enthusiasm and collegiality as well as evidence of research and teaching success.

    The UC Management Department has a strong commitment to quality research and teaching. Candidates must demonstrate a focused and productive research program. In addition, they must possess the capability or potential to teach effectively in undergraduate, graduate and executive programs. Our degree programs are fully accredited by the AACSB. The Department has eleven full-time faculty members in Organizational Behavior, Organization Theory, Business Policy/Strategy and Entrepreneurship. Faculty members are actively engaged in research (a 2000 Academy of Management Journal article ranked the Department as 40th nationally in research productivity in top management journals) and have published in the leading management journals, among them: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management, Human Relations, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science, and Harvard Business Review.

    The College enrolls approximately 2300 undergraduates, 450 master's students and 50 doctoral students. The College is part of a comprehensive research institution that is the second largest state university in Ohio, with a total enrollment of approximately 35,000 students. The University of Cincinnati has established a continuing reputation for academic accomplishment and innovative ideas.     ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

    Entrepreneurship

     

    The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas is seeking qualified applicants for a tenure-eligible position at the assistant/associate professor level.   Wichita State University is located in the largest economic, industrial, cultural, and population center of Kansas.  The university has strong ties to the business community, making it easy to acquire research and case materials.

     

    Responsibilities:                                  Teaching undergraduate and graduate level (M.B.A.) courses in entrepreneurship and other disciplines; engaging in research leading to publications and other scholarly output; serving on faculty and other committees; participating in other appropriate service and professional activities.  The teaching load will consist of a minimum of 6 hours per semester.

     

    Research Support:                               Support includes research grants, personal computers for individual faculty members, full access to all major statistical packages, student assistants, and funding for travel to professional meetings.

     

    Qualifications:                                      Applicants for this position must hold a Ph.D. in a business area, preferably Entrepreneurship, or a closely related area, or must show a high probability of completing degree requirements before the effective date of appointment.  Applicants must demonstrate compelling research potential and must be able to present evidence of teaching effectiveness in entrepreneurship and closely related areas. Additional required qualifications are excellent oral and written communication skills and successful experience with diverse populations.  A demonstrated interest in or capability to teach in an appropriate ancillary business discipline is preferred.

                                                               

    Appointment/Salary:                            A nine-month appointment beginning August 2008. Salary will be AACSB competitive.  Summer research support may be available on a competitive basis.
