    The School of Labor and Industrial Relations at Michigan State
    University will be interviewing at the National Academy of Management
    for the following position:

    FACULTY POSITION IN HEALTH AND/OR RETIREMENT BENEFITS
    School of Labor and Industrial Relations
    Michigan State University

    The School of Labor and Industrial Relations at Michigan State
    University seeks applications for a tenure-system faculty position at
    the Assistant Professor level. The successful applicant will: (1) add
    to the University's capacity to conduct research on the consequences for
    employment relationships of growing employee retirement, health, and/or
    family challenges; 2) be expected to develop an externally-funded
    research program; and (3) teach undergraduate and graduate courses on
    Employee Benefits and on other employment-related subjects. An ability
    to conduct research and/or teach on International and/or Comparative
    topics is highly desirable.

    With a cross-disciplinary approach, faculty in the School of Labor and
    Industrial Relations at Michigan State University conduct research and
    teach on a diverse set of employment-related subjects including:
    collective bargaining, staffing, training, compensation, benefits,
    employment and labor law, high-performance work systems, comparative
    employment systems, and international human resource management. The
    School also offers outreach programs in the areas of Workers
    Compensation, Labor-Management Cooperation, Labor Relations, and Human
    Resource Management.

    This is an academic-year appointment with a beginning date of August 16,
    2008. Applicants must possess (or expect to receive by August 16, 2008)
    a Ph. D. in labor/industrial relations, economics, public policy, human
    resource management, or a related social science discipline.
