    CALL FOR CHAPTERS

     

    Hispanics @Work:  A Collection of Research, Theory and Application, edited by Donna Maria Blancero, Bentley University, dblancero@bentley.edu , Waltham, Massachusetts and Robert G. DelCampo, University of New Mexico, delcampo@mgt.unm.edu , Albuquerque, New Mexico

     

     

    This volume will include chapters focusing on the experiences of Hispanic Professionals in today's workforce.  Proposals for chapters are invited that focus on a broad view of employment issues on topics such as:

     

     

    Current Trends in the Hispanic Workforce

     

    Hispanics, Work-Family Conflict and Changing Roles

     

    Perceived Organizational Support and the Hispanic Professional

     

    Trust and Collectivism:  Maximizing the impact of Hispanic Business Professionals

     

    Work values and Retention of Hispanic Business Professionals

     

     

     

    Chapter length may vary, though chapters of roughly 6,000 to 12,000 words in length are expected. 

     

     

    Chapter proposals should be between 500-1000 words (2-4 pages). They should be accompanied by brief biographies for EACH of the chapter authors, which should include: current institutional affiliation and position, contact information (email/phone).  Included in your brief bio should be a listing of your related publications. Doctoral Students and junior faculty are encouraged to submit proposals to gain experience and knowledge as the review process will be performed in a developmental manner.  Prospective authors are encouraged to email or write the editors to discuss the chapter idea.

     

     

    Schedule of due dates:

     

    April 30, 2010:  Proposals/bios sent to dblancero@bentley.edu and delcampo@mgt.unm.edu

     

    May 15, 2010:  Proposals selected for inclusion

     

    August 31, 2010: first drafts

     

    January 2011: publication anticipated
