Dear All: Speakinig of "gross insensitivies" and the discourse of race, read the New York Times column about Hillay's victory in New Hampshire. Among her statements to folks during her campaigning to prove why she should be president, she allegedly spoke about the civil rights movement and stated that while Martin Luther King Jr may have been a great orator and called for Civil rights, it took Lyndon Johnson, a president to get it done. Well, I think Hillary needs to revisit her interpretation of the Civil Rights Movement...Johnson and many other government leaders had to be forced into action by an overwhelming people's movement for civil rights in this country. If this statement was quoted correctly, then I find this a particular affront on the eve of Dr Martin Luther King's Birthday and we should not forget the sacrifice of so many others, black and white, who gave their lives to the winning of civil rights in this country. I just hope that Hillary doesn't believe what she may have said. But read it for yourselves.
