    The Management Department within the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at Western Washington University (Bellingham, WA) invites candidates for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Management beginning in September 2013.    The CBE is considered a leadership unit within the university. It is AACSB accredited and has over 65 full-time faculty. The CBE grants the MBA degree and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration, Accounting, Manufacturing Management, and Economics. The Management Department oversees undergraduate concentrations in management, international business, and general business. The CBE and the Department are committed to the University¹s strategic goal of recruiting and retaining diverse faculty, and welcome a diverse pool of applicants.  Position Responsibilities:    * Teach required management courses as well as new or existing management electives relevant to the candidate¹s training. Teaching areas that are particularly attractive include teamwork, organizational theory, change management, diversity, and/or comparative management. Some MBA teaching may be possible, but most teaching will be      at the undergraduate level.   * Conduct and publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals on topics      relevant to organizational behavior or related areas.   * Work collaboratively on scholarly and curricular projects with a wider group of teachers and researchers within the department and throughout the CBE.   * Perform a proportionate share of school, university, and professional service.    Qualifications:  ·       PhD or ABD or equivalent in Organizational Behavior or related field; ABD candidates must have degree completed by June 15, 2014 ·       Evidence of ability to be an effective teacher ·       Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate education in general and to management as a program of study in particular ·       Evidence of potential for high-quality research in organizational behavior or related areas. A research program that complements that of other Management and CBE faculty is preferred ·       Scholarship record commensurate with years since completion of the PhD ·       Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse students, staff, and faculty ·       Excellent interpersonal communication skills ·       Post-PhD teaching experience and/or relevant non-academic work experience is preferred    Application Instructions and Requested Documents:  Application materials must be submitted via WWU¹s Electronic Application System for Employment (EASE).
