    New <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">All</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype></st1:place> Professional Development Workshops

     

    We are pleased to offer several new professional development opportunities at this year’s Academy of Management conference in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Anaheim</st1:place></st1:city>. These sessions will be labeled All Academy Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) in the program, and are designed to (a) focus on the conference theme “The Questions We Ask”, (b) be highly interactive, and (c) offer members a usable deliverable. I have listed the sessions and coordinators below.

     

    The Questions We Ask and Don’t Ask in our Research:  Where Should We Go from Here?

    Leadership Think Tank: The Questions We Don’t Ask.

    Journal Editing: Opening the Black Box

    Implementing the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME): The Questions We Have Not Asked (Yet)

    Sharing Best Practices in Academic Administration: The Questions We Need to Ask Ourselves.

    Organizers: Stephanie Newell (stephanie.newell@emich.edu) and Ruth Clarke

    This session will include the VP of Accreditation for the AACSB.

     

    Bringing Practice Back into Our Scholarship: Setting an Agenda for Action.

    Organizer: Elena Antonacopoulou (E.Antonacopoulou@liverpool.ac.uk)

     

     

    The All Academy PDWs will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008, and are open to all <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management</st1:placename></st1:place> members. No prior registration or fees are required for these workshops.
