Position Announcement: Director, Center for Organizational Leadership
The Center for Organizational Leadership invites applications or nominations for the position of Director at the Associate or Full Professor rank to begin July 1, 2009. The successful candidate is expected to teach one undergraduate or graduate course per quarter or three courses per academic year, engage in research that results in publication outputs that meet the standard of a very high research activity [RU/VH] research University, and possess leadership and administrative skills that will ensure the continued growth and vitality of its academic programs, while fostering a collaborative and dynamic research environment. Duties include overseeing the Center's budget, the development of a long-term strategic plan for the Center, the promotion of the Center within the McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, the University of Cincinnati, and in the larger community, promote interdisciplinary activities, generate external funding, mentor faculty, and foster quality graduate and undergraduate education. The Center is a multidisciplinary unit that enables students to learn leadership skills, produces high-quality scholarship, and partners with organizations to enhance leadership practices. Applicants must be a tenured full-time faculty and hold a Ph.D in a relevant discipline. The Center offers a baccalaureate degree with a major in organizational leadership and a master of arts degree in human resources. Candidates must demonstrate a strong record of scholarship and teaching, and leadership and administrative skills necessary to achieve the goals of the Center.
