The Department of Human Resource Management in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University-New Brunswick is soliciting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position, beginning September 2009 (contingent on budgetary approval). With the largest concentration of HR faculty in the United States, our department is internationally renowned for its research in the areas of strategic and international human resource management. We seek a colleague with strong research skills who can teach courses in the functional areas of HRM (broadly construed) and/or statistics, data-based decisions, and financial analysis for HRM. Candidates may have any disciplinary background, but must have a strong research record and be interested in working closely with our doctoral students. Teaching responsibilities include primarily master's level courses for our diverse mix of full- and part-time domestic and international students seeking degrees in HRM. In addition to traditional on-campus courses, we offer an Global Executive Masters in HR Leadership (GEMHRL) program, occasional in-house courses for corporations, and an HRM course for students enrolled in a newly-developed Professional Science Masters degree program.
Applicants should possess a PhD or equivalent terminal degree, and should send the following materials to the search committee:

- A vita and up to 3 scholarly articles or papers
- Four letters of reference, preferably from professors familiar with their work
