The most important challenges we face today are interdependent – they can only be solved by groups working collaboratively together.  For organizations, governments, and communities to solve current problems and realize new opportunities, leaders must think and act beyond current boundaries. Successful leaders in today's fast-paced global work environment must develop the capacity to engage in boundary spanning leadership.  Based on the newly released book "Boundary spanning leadership: Six Practices for Solving Problems, Driving Innovation, and Transforming Organizations" and landmark study conducted by the Center for Creative Leadership across six world regions, this highly interactive workshop will give participants the opportunity to learn how to transform limiting borders into limitless frontiers.  Using a newly developed tool known as Boundary Explorer, participants will: 1) identify boundaries in their work environment, 2) understand a research based model for leading across boundaries, 3) apply the model to their unique leadership challenges, 4) identify leadership practices and tactics, and 5) begin to envision boundaries as opportunities for creative and innovative thinking.
