Dear colleagues
I am teaching at Ahfad University for Women in Sudan till beginning of
April. With 2 colleagues here we are launching an open enrolment course on
Gender and Organization, one day a week for 8 weeks. Invitations have gone
to the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
1. I would appreciate help with general course materials (exercises, role
plays, case studies), adaptable to the Sudanese context. (I have the Gary
Powell book.)
2. I am looking for as much research as possible relating to Africa and the
Arab world. Sudan is a member of the Arab league, and the ethnic and
religious mix is wide - more Christians in the South, who are closer to
Kenyans/Ugandans. I found that the journal Gender in Management is a
goldmine, almost nothing in GWO. However embarking on a systematic lit
search is mind-boggling.
Any suggestions you can give me will be appreciated. Post is not reliable
here so resources must be accessible electronically. I have access to the U
of Manchester electronic journals.
many thanks
Elisabeth Wilson
