    The College of Business Administration at Northeastern University invites applications for an Assistant Professor position in its Management and Organizational Development Group effective September 2010. The primary teaching area is in Organizational Behavior though teaching interest and experience in skills development would be a plus. Candidates who are starting their academic career with a completed Ph.D. or who have an established record are invited to apply. Undergraduate teaching will be in the college's nationally ranked Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in International Business programs. Graduate teaching will be in the full-time and part-time MBA, programs. Salary is competitive and negotiable, depending on doctoral status, rank and experience. Support for research is available. Northeastern's Undergraduate degree program is ranked 27th in the USA (Business Week, 2009). Its Bachelor of Science in International Business program is ranked 13th in the country (U.S. News and World Report, November, 2008) and has been ranked in the top 20 for the past several years.  The part-time MBA program has also been ranked in the top 20 by U.S. and World Reports (2007).

    Qualifications: Candidates must possess a doctoral degree and have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and scholarly research and to working with a diverse student population. Candidates with established records or who expect to have a completed Ph.D. by the summer of 2010 are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated teaching experience and scholarly productivity are valued, as is previous business experience, particularly in a managerial capacity.

    Research Support: Faculty members are expected to be active in research and publishing. Support is available in the form of summer funding, release time from teaching, graduate research assistants, and travel stipends for presentations at academic conferences. Research fellowships for tenure-track assistant professors are available on a competitive basis.

    The Faculty: Organizational Behavior is a required and important course for all undergraduate and graduate business programs taught by a nationally known faculty possessing wide industry and academic experience as well as high quality research productivity.
