    Dear GDO Colleagues:

I am writing to invite you to submit a proposal for the third volume of the Research in Careers series, published by Information Age Publishing. The first volume, entitled Maintaining Focus, Options, and Energy Through the Career, is available now on the Information Age website (www.infoagepub.com <http://www.infoagepub.com/> ). The second volume, tentatively titled Searching for Authenticity in the Career, is currently in process. We are seeking proposals for the third volume, which focuses on balance (work-family or work-life balance). We know that many of the members of the Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division have an interest in work-family or work-life balance, and we are hoping that you will consider submitting your work for this volume. The Call for Proposals is copied below. Thanks for your attention! -- Gayle

    Dear GDO Colleagues:

This message is just a quick note to remind you that the deadline for proposals for the fourth volume of the Research in Careers series is approaching.  The deadline for PROPOSALS is October 1.

The fourth volume of the series focuses on challenge.  In the context of this series, "challenge" is defined as engaging in activities the permit individuals to demonstrate responsibility, control, and autonomy while learning and growing along with desiring stimulating work.  It would be great to have a number of proposals that combine an interest in diversity with this definition of challenge.

I am copying the Call for Proposals here, because I know that if you have to click on an attachment, I may lose you!  Hope to see those proposals rolling in soon!  --  Gayle
