    The Villanova School of Business at Villanova University invites applications for appointment to an assistant level, tenure track position in human resource management. Individuals with demonstrated research expertise in the area(s) of international and/or strategic human resource management are especially encouraged to apply. The position has a starting date of August 2017. 
    The successful candidate will have a record of excellence or demonstrated potential in research and teaching. Working within the Department of Management and Operations, the individual is expected to teach two courses per semester and maintain an active presence within Villanova University and the broader scholarly community. The position offers a commensurate and competitive salary and benefits package.
    Applicants must possess or be near the completion of a Ph.D. in Management, Human Resources, or a related field. The department search committee has a sincere interest in reviewing applications from graduating doctoral students and more experienced scholars.     ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Management and Operations is an intellectually curious and collegial group that currently includes 16 tenured and tenure-track faculty members and 6 non-tenure track faculty members.  Department members attending the Anaheim meetings include Jonathan Doh, Scott Newbert, Narda Quigley, and Quinetta Roberson. The department publishes in top management journals, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Journal of International Business Studies, and Strategic Management Journal, and department members are active in leadership roles within journals and within the Academy of Management. The department works as a team to further individual research interests and teaching objectives.
