Greetings friends,
I'm writing to let you know that the program has been finalized for our annual diversity conference on bridging the research-practice gap in diversity management (
http://som.gmu.edu). The purpose of this conference is to improve diversity research and practice by bringing together academics and practitioners to spend two days focusing on some aspect of diversity management. This year's theme is
changing organizational cultures to increase diversity, inclusion, and performance in the workplace. All presentations last 90 minutes and include ample time for participant involvement. This is a great opportunity to develop connections with other diversity scholars and, perhaps more uniquely, with diversity practitioners who would like to bridge the research-practice gap.
We have a very strong slate of presenters, including chief diversity officers, nationally known practitioners, and top-notch scholars. Please connect to the conference web site and check out the program.
To make it possible for academics to attend, we've set the early bird registration rate at $175 ($100 for students), which is considerably less than it costs to run the conference. We have also negotiated a room rate of $119 at the Arlington Hilton where the conference is held. However, both those rates are temporary. The early-bird registration rate ends April 30 (or when we've reached our maximum number of registrants) and the hotel rate ends May 10 (or when the block of rooms is filled).
I hope you can join us and that you will reserve your place and room by registering sooner rather than later. If you would like additional information, please don't hesitate to get back to me.
I hope to see you in June.
Cheers,
David
