Dear GDO List Members,

Please view below an invitation to GDO Division members from Nancy Adler who is having an exhibition of her art work at the same time as the AOM conference in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Montreal</st1:place></st1:city>. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Nancy</st1:place></st1:city>'s art is powerful and evocative. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Nancy</st1:place></st1:city> is also presenting at several sessions during the conference, as outlined below.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

            I am delighted that you will be coming to <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Montreal</st1:place></st1:city>, my city, for this year's Academy meetings and would like to invite you to the opening week of my art exhibition at Galerie MX, directly across from the Palais des Congres, the Academy's main meeting venue. I would personally like to invite you to the Vernissage (opening reception) at the gallery on Saturday evening August 7^th, along with the series of art-related events being hosted in conjunction with the Academy, including

·        A Distinguished Speaker session on "The Creative Economy and Beyond" on Monday August 9^th

·        An All Academy Session on "Daring to Care: Courage and Advocacy in Management Research and Practice" on Sunday August 8^th (together with Academy President Jim Walsh)

·        An <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placename w:st="on">All</st1:placename> <st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype></st1:place> Session on "Artistic Passion Igniting Workplace Action" on Sunday August 8^th

·        The "Leadership Insight" session on leadership reflection and contemplation using sacred writings and art at the gallery on Friday August 6^th

The exhibition is being held in conjunction with the official book launch of the Leadership Insight journal (with 27 paintings from the exhibition), emphasizing an important theme for many of us – reflection and contemplation in learning and leadership.
