    We will be interviewing qualified candidates at the Academy of Management meetings in Montreal (August 7, 8, and 9) for the position below.

    The Management/Human Resource Management Department of California State University, Long Beach is recruiting for an Assistant or Associate tenure-track faculty member with research and teaching interests in Strategic Management, Operations Management, Organization Theory, and/or General Management (with emphasis in Operations or Strategic Management subjects). The position is available August 2011.  Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. from a business school with AACSB International Accreditation (or its substantial equivalent), demonstrated ability and/or potential to teach Strategic Management courses and related management subjects effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrated potential for scholarship leading to publication, and potential for curriculum development and service contributions to the department, college, university, and community.  A secondary teaching and research interest in Operations Management is desirable.  Applicants also must have the ability to work and communicate effectively within an ethnically and culturally diverse community.  Preferred qualifications include prior teaching experience at the college level, related business, professional, or managerial experience, potential to develop support relationship within the university's surrounding community, and published research in the field.
