Apologies for cross-posting; I would like to draw your attention to the following professional development workshop to be held on Friday afternoon at the upcoming Academy of Management meeting.
CURRENT RESEARCH METHODS IN WORK-LIFE RESEARCH
Program Session #: 87 | Submission: 13219 | Sponsor(s): (GDO, HR)
Scheduled: Friday, Aug 6 2010 12:15PM - 4:15PM at Le Centre Sheraton in Salon B
In order for scholars to be able to understand better how “solving organizational problems might ensure a sustainable future”, they need to stay abreast of the current and cutting-edge research techniques being used to identify and define the most pressing organizational problems. The proposed professional development workshop is designed with this purpose in mind, namely, to highlight established and emerging research methods being used in work-life (WL) research and provide an opportunity to interact with the experts who are using them. Specifically, the following topics will be covered: collecting organizational level data and using on-line survey options, conducting large scale studies, using qualitative data collection techniques, capturing career histories and successfully conducting international research. All presenters have published extensively using their respective methodological approaches and have the expertise to offer an engaging discussion that will enhance the participants’ knowledge in various research methodologies.
