Hello colleagues,
The Society for Human Resource Management ("SHRM"), as an American National Standards Institute ("ANSI") designated Standards Developing Organization, is sponsoring the development of American National Standards in the area of Diversity and Inclusion. The task force will focus on three standards projects: the role of the top diversity professional, the elements of an effective Diversity Management Program and the number and types of metrics that an effective program should capture. A separate group will work on each of the three project. These groups will involve dozens of diversity professionals – both academics and practitioners. Initial steps have been taken to populate the task force and we will have our first meeting shortly, but it is clear that we need more academic members. The GDO Division strikes me as a great source of potential members – hence this message. If you would like to volunteer or want more information, please contact Lee Webster at Lee.Webster@shrm.org.
