Dear Colleagues:
Routledge has tapped me to edit a four-volume reference work on Business
and Gender. This large project is intended to consist of a selection of
previously published articles and book chapters from a variety of sources
to give the reader an historical overview as well as a snapshot of current
issues in the field. The primary market for this type of work is
libraries which do not have sufficient access to these primary sources,
particularly in Japan and the Far East.
My request from you is to send me your suggestions for articles and
chapters that should be included in this volume.
• What are the foundational pieces that are a “must read” for
someone to understand the history of this field?
• What are the important recently published pieces that should be
read in order to understand the current state of the field?
• Please do nominate works originating outside of N. America, as one
of my tasks is to include an international set of sources. Routledge
wants me to aim for 1/3 sourced in N. America and 2/3 sourced elsewhere
• Please do feel free to nominate your own work and send me the most
important articles and/or chapters that you have published
• Please send me complete references to ensure I am able to find the
articles and chapters you are suggesting.
While I cannot promise to include all of the sources you suggest, I will
do my best to make a useful selection available to our colleagues around
the world whose library access is limited.
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely,
Alison
