OB/OT Position Description
The Department of Management and Marketing at UMass-Boston invites
applications for a position in Organizational Behavior/Theory at the
Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2011. Secondary
teaching and research interests are strongly desired in an area that
supports the Department’s areas of focus on the complex roles business
plays in an increasingly transnational society, economy and polity. These
areas include social and ethical issues in management, transnational and
multicultural dimensions of management, leadership and organizational
development, and social networks. Appropriate candidates will hold an
earned Ph.D./DBA in Management or closely related discipline and will be
expected to teach core and elective courses at graduate and undergraduate
levels.

Strategy/International Business Position Description
The Department of Management and Marketing at UMass-Boston invites
applications for a position in Strategy/International Business at the
Assistant or Associate Professor level, beginning Fall 2011. Secondary
teaching and research interests are strongly desired in an area that
supports the Department’s areas of focus on the complex roles business
plays in an increasingly transnational society, economy and polity. These
areas include social entrepreneurship, NGOs and multilateral
organizations, global sustainability, international development and
regional business clusters. Appropriate candidates will hold an earned
Ph.D./DBA in Management or closely related discipline and will be expected
to teach core and elective courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.

Marketing Position Description
The Department of Management and Marketing at UMass-Boston invites
applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Marketing,
beginning Fall 2011. Secondary teaching and research interests are
strongly desired in areas that support the departmental focus on the
complex roles business plays in an increasingly transnational society,
economy and polity. These areas include, for example, social marketing,
services marketing, transnational and multicultural dimensions of
marketing, and social media. Appropriate candidates will hold an earned
Ph.D./DBA in Marketing or closely related discipline and will be expected
to teach core and elective courses at graduate and undergraduate levels.

The Department is part of the AACSB-accredited College of Management,
which has been growing rapidly and has recently launched a new graduate
degree in International Management. A new Ph.D. program is under
development in the College, with a Departmental focus on organizations and
social change. The College now offers two bachelor and five masters
degrees and has an enrollment of 2300 students. The College of Management
has recently established a Center for Sustainable Enterprise and Regional
Competitiveness and a Center for Entrepreneurship.
