Request for Proposals
Mason's Assistive Technology Initiative (ATI) invites speaker proposals for its 2nd annual Access, Employment, and Learning Technology Showcase. Last year's showcase welcomed over 400 participants and featured 50 presentations and exhibitors geared toward supporting individuals with disabilities at home, in school, and in the workplace.
ATI is seeking proposals on the following topics:
- Assistive Technology
- Research
- Community resources supporting individuals with disabilities
- Transition for students with disabilities
- Universal Design
- Document accessibility (Accessible instructional materials)
- Section 508/Web accessibility
- New ADA regulations
- Employment resources for individuals with disabilities
- Electronic book accessibility
- Captioning/Video Description
- Distance Education
- Mobile Technologies
- Daily living
In addition to seeking presenters, we're also seeking exhibitors with interactive displays, technology demonstrations, etc. Exhibitors are asked to commit to both days.
Presenters: To be considered for presentations, go to http://websurvey.gmu.edu/survey/entry.jsp?id=1304097157275 and submit your proposal by June 3. If necessary, a second round call for proposals will have a deadline of June 17.
