    Dear Friends and Colleagues (sorry about the cross-posting)

    It is my pleasure to introduce you to what I believe is a very unique
    special feature we just published in the Journal of Business and Psychology
    (edited by Allan Church).  It is a feature designed to help bridge the
    science and practice of IO/OB/HR. More specifically, each article presents a
    highly salient and topical practice issue.  Then, for each topic, a research
    agenda is outlined.  The research agenda is not driven by theory per se, but
    instead it is driven by the applied needs of practitioners dealing with
    these issues on a day to day basis. In other words, this is the research
    that practitioners are hoping they can inspire academics to pursue in order
    to advance practice in a meaningful way.  Overall, it is our small attempt
    to help bring the scientific and practice communities closer together to
    promote evidence based management.
