Dear Colleagues,
We are recruiting participants to complete an online survey investigating
the job market experiences of (1) African American women who received
their PhD in psychology from 2000-2010, and (2) women of any
race/ethnicity who received their PhD in psychology from 2000-2010 and
completed a dissertation on the topic of African American women. If you
fit this description, we hope you will consider taking our survey! We are
using the snowball technique of data collection, so if you know anyone who
fits the description for this survey please consider sending them this
email.
The survey asks questions about respondents’ attitudes and well-being,
relationships and interactions in graduate school, and job market
experiences. The results will help us understand aspects of women’s job
market experiences that are going well and those that could be improved.
Participation will consist of filling out an online survey, which will
take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. As a “thank you” for
participating, respondents will be paid $20.
Participation in this study is completely voluntary. If participants
choose to withdraw from the study at any time, there will be no penalty.
The results of the research may be published, but names of respondents
will not be used.
The survey will be open for a limited amount of time so please respond as
soon as you are able.
